The GTC of the Swiss website attingo.ch, dated 18.03.2026, identify the provider as Attingo Datenrettung GmbH, Perfektastraße 55/2, 1230 Vienna (FN 288503w, Handelsgericht Wien). They provide for Austrian law, Vienna as the place of performance and a place of jurisdiction in Vienna, with a specific consumer-protection reservation. We identified no Attingo entity in the Swiss commercial register (Zefix, checked in August 2026).
With SOS Data Recovery, the contract is concluded with Tesweb SA, a public limited company registered in the Swiss commercial register and verifiable on zefix.ch; Swiss law, place of jurisdiction in Switzerland.
2. The processing location: what Attingo's Swiss website announces
Attingo's Swiss website announces its laboratories, equipped with cleanrooms, in Austria (Vienna), Germany (Hamburg) and the Netherlands (Nieuw-Vennep); a service page consulted in August 2026 states that data recovery is carried out exclusively in the company's own laboratory in Vienna. According to the information published by the provider itself, storage media entrusted from Switzerland are therefore processed outside Switzerland.

When Attingo can be a relevant choice
This comparison documents differences in entity and laboratory location, not in skill. Attingo is a long-established provider, with a claimed experience of more than 27 years, three announced laboratory locations in Austria, Germany and the Netherlands, a free diagnosis under the Economy plan and round-the-clock handling under High Priority. For an organisation present in those countries, or where no requirement imposes exclusively Swiss processing, it is an established European provider.
If your data are subject to professional secrecy, banking secrecy, localisation requirements or an internal "data in Switzerland" policy, the information published by the provider gives you the answer: its announced laboratories are in Austria, Germany and the Netherlands.
